  The history of the Jordan family was written by my husband's much loved great aunt, Sister Alma Jordan. Dave and I kept our paper copy in a file for years, and we are now able to share Sister Alma's recollections with extended family members.

Many thanks to Christine Meinert Spencer of Illinois. For several years, Christine presented her family history on her personal website in her original style. Christine generously expanded her website to include my family information and in 2003, she turned the pages over to me. These pages are updated regularly as new information becomes available.

Special thanks to my aunt and uncle, Christine Watt Edwards and Bob Edwards, who first shared some of the family history with me, and who passed down information and items that were to be kept in the family. I am thankful for my great aunt Frances Annie Edwards who kept detailed records and who labeled photos to ensure family information would not be lost. Special thanks to Bruce Varcoe who generously loaned me some of his research, and who continued to share his research with me over several years. I am also very thankful to Francis George Baker and his wife Kathy Baker for entrusting me with Baker family items that had been passed through generations.
