  The history of the Jordan family was written by my husband's much loved great aunt, Sister Alma Jordan. Dave and I have kept our copy in a file for years, and we now wish to share it with other family members.

Many thanks to Christine Meinert Spencer of Illinois. For several years, Christine presented her family history on her personal website in her own original style. Christine generously expanded her website to include my family information and then in 2003, she turned the pages over to me. My website has grown in many ways as I have taken on this labour of love. These pages are updated regularly as new information becomes available.

Special thanks to my aunt, Christine Watt Edwards, who first showed me some of the family history, and shared with me the artifacts she had collected over time. Special thanks to Bruce Varcoe who generously loaned me some of his research, and who continued to share his research with me. I am very thankful to Francis George Baker and his wife Kathy Baker for entrusting me with Baker family items that had been passed through generations. Francis and Kathy Baker opened their hearts and their home to me and showed me hospitality I could not have imagined. I am very grateful.
